Oil - Motor oil, industrial lubricants and cooking oil cannot go in a dumpster. Fuels - All fuel types are prohibited in dumpsters due to their flammability. Tires - Not allowed in dumpsters due to the damage they can cause to landfills. Car Batteries - The toxic chemicals they contain cannot be mixed with other waste. Air Conditioners - They contain refrigerants that require specialized handling. Liquid Chemicals, Paint, Toxic Waste - Require specialized handling to be disposed of safely. Asbestos - Banned from most landfills because it is considered a carcinogen. Industrial Drums - Substances they contain may be hazardous. Medical and Hazardous Waste - Require specialized handling to be disposed of safely. Roofing Materials - Must be disposed of in a roll-off dumpster. Concrete, Brick, Stucco and Asphalt - Heavy debris like these must be disposed of in a roll-off dumpster. BBQs, Propane Tanks, Any Ignition Source, Burn Barrel or Coal Ash Waste - These materials are flammable. Metal - Must be separate from regular garbage. Can be brought to our office for free disposal. Large Household Appliances / Appliances with Freon (Fridges, Freezers etc.) - Must be taken separately to the landfill, or recycling centre. Mattresses - Can only go in a roll-off bin and have an extra charge. Large Amounts of Soil or Sand - Too heavy for the front load truck to lift. Computer Monitors or Televisions - Must be taken to the recycling depot. Dead Animals - Must be taken to a landfill that accepts carcasses, as they must be separate from regular garbage.
